Olaplex Review

Olaplex Review

I was at work this past week and when I was in my friend’s office she asked why my hair looked so good that day. Ha! Which means my hair must not look good every other day, but I’LL TAKE IT! I wasn’t going to post about my new haircare products I’ve been using, but since that comment came my way…I figured, why not share? Continue reading for my Olaplex Review (not a paid review)!

Say it with me gals, O-la-plex. It’s the new craze and I decided to try it out. I’ve been using Olaplex for two weeks to this day and I definitely can tell a difference in my hair. My hair is long (as you can see from the pics below), highlighted (but not damaged or brittle) and pretty straight (with little kinks here and there). My hair is thin but I have a lot of it, the hair dressers are always shocked with how much hair I actually have and how long a full highlight actually takes with my hair. I’ve tried many shampoo/conditioners since starting to highlight my hair around 4 years ago and so far, this is my fav. Olaplex has multiple different products out there and they label them by numbers. The following four links are affiliate links which means I could receive a small commission if you purchase the product through these links. I’ve only used Olaplex #3, #4, and #5…so far. Olaplex #3 is the leave-in conditioner, Olaplex #4 is shampoo and Olaplex #5 is conditioner. Above is a picture of the three Olaplex products I’ve been using.

I applied the Olaplex on my damp hair and let it set and do it’s THANG. The product directions say to leave it in your hair for a minimum of 10 minutes so I naturally left it in for 2-3 hours, ha! Below is a picture of what my hair looked like with the Olaplex #3 in it.

Afterwards, I showered like normal. Washed my hair with the Olaplex #4 (PS #4 smells AMAZINGGGG and lathers very easily). A little bit of this stuff goes A LONG WAY. Then, after Olaplex #4…you guessed it, comes Olaplex #5! The directions on Olaplex #5 say to leave conditioner in your hair for 3 minutes. So I followed and left it in for 3-4 minutes. My. Hair. Feels. And. Looks. Amazing. Not to mention smells good too. This stuff is great, I’m going to use it a month or two more before trying the other Olaplex products only becasuse the Olaplex line is on the pricier side of hair products and I want to reeeeeally make sure I love this stuff as much as I do now in a month. Ya know, you have to be sure.

Alsoooo remember when I told you my friend at work told me my hair looked great that day? Welllllll, it was day 3 of not washing my hair 🙂 now THAT is why I am currently in love with this stuff. Have I convinced you yet to make the jump from your regular shampoo/conditioner?! Let me know what you think of your haircare products, do you have a shampoo/conditioner you swear by or won’t sway away from? Let me know in the comments below!! Have you tried Olaplex? What was your experience?

If you prefer to buy the Olaplex haircare products all together and not separately, I found this Olaplex set (Olaplex 3, 4, 5 and 6). I have not personally used this set, or Olaplex #6, but could be an option for me in the future when I need to repurchase.
