If you are an active user of any social media, instagram especially, you are aware of how popular lips and lipstick have become. Maybe they’ve always been a “thing” but this twenty (something) year old feels like the popularity of lips and lipsticks have increased significantly in the last couple of years. Now, if you know me, voluptuous lips are definitely not something that defines me or that I was blessed with. Have you seen kids drawings of stick figure people with the line for their lips? Yep, that’s my upper lip haha! But nevertheless, lipsticks are something that have always interested me and shopping for lipsticks can be addictive.
When I was a younger child, I’d say around 3-5 years old, I would go to any social outing with my mother’s bright red lipstick on. Always. Never failed that I would exit the house without it. (Except kindergarten, obvi). Fast forward twenty some years (ha!) and it is still true. These times I do not leave with bright red lipstick on…mostly nudes or light pinks but lipsticks continue to hold my interest.
Lipstick Favorites
I’ve tried many different name brand lipsticks and my personal favorite is MAC lipstick products (pictured above). Below are amazon affiliate links and if a purchase is confirmed through these links I could receive a compensation from the purchase. Here are some of my favorites:

MAC lipsticks are long lasting and do not smear when talking or drinking a beverage. Yes, you will have to reapply like every lipstick (even when they say you don’t have to, let’s be real..you have to eventually). MAC lipsticks are definitely a favorite between my sisters and I and have been for a long time.
